Learning to fly helicopters is undoubtedly one of the most rewarding of experiences. The challenge and sense of achievement of mastering helicopter flight is unparalleled by any other type of flying.
Training is given by professional pilots (who are all full ‘Q.F.l.’ rated), in Robinson R22 Beta helicopters, which are maintained and certified to Public Transport Category standards. A minimum of 45 flying hours are required before obtaining your licence.
We are open from sunrise to sunset all year round, which means that you are able to enjoy flying without the restrictions of airport opening hours. Unlike airports, we do not charge landing fees for our own aircraft. We look forward to meeting you and showing you round our facilities at your trial lesson. We take a personal interest in the progress of all students, and will be pleased to answer any questions that you may have on your visit. Trial lessons include pre-flight ground instruction, and a half-hour flight during which time you will actually fly the aircraft yourself. The trial lesson cost is £140.00 plus Vat. No more traffic jams.
